So today I took the scenic route home from work. It takes a bit longer that way, but I thought it would be worth it. There are Canadian Geese that nest along the river pathway. Last spring there were so many gooselings and they were adorable. I was very much hoping to see some baby Canadian Geese today.
Unfortunately there weren’t any. It must be too early still. BUT it was a beautiful sunny day and I got some decent shots while I was out.
I like the variety of trees along the pathway. The grove of apple trees haven’t quite bloomed yet, though you can see their pink buds. They are stunning when in full bloom. I’ll make sure to bike past them again to try and catch them during that stage.
I also liked the shadow that my bike was casting into the photo, so consider it my shadow selfie.
The next couple photos take us to Westboro Beach.
It surprised me to see so many people at the beach already, but I guess it makes sense since we’ve been having summer weather already.
There were plenty of adult Canadian Geese. I guess they must have a nest somewhere and are waiting for the eggs to hatch.
More trees. Willows are unusual in this area, so it startled me to see these ones.
The pathway leads directly to the downtown core.
I wanted to take more photos, but the sun was setting and I didn’t want to get caught in the dark so I hurried home. Overall, it was a great bike ride. I’m looking forward to the next one already.
Thanks for stopping by!
