Spring Flowers: Lilacs and Apple Blossoms

There are two crab-apple trees outside my workplace that look beautiful in bloom. I took a few photos before the flowers dropped; these trees only stayed in bloom for two weeks!

There is a pathway near my workplace that is lined with lilac bushes. I always walk by them on my way to the corner store during lunch time. I couldn’t resist taking a few photos of those also. I love the strong, sweet scent of lilacs that fills the air in the spring.

What a big difference it makes to have flowers in an urban setting. When there’s greenery nearby, I am not bothered so much by the tall buildings or the busy traffic.

We’re planning to get some lilac bushes to put outside our front door at home next year. Or maybe I’ll take some cuttings to grow my own bushes.

Thanks for looking!
